PRODUCTION CATERING

ABOUT FILM TRUCKS

Texas-based food trucks and production catering for film, TV, and media productions of all sizes

OUR STORY

Film Trucks was founded by production veterans who had spent years on film and television sets and experienced firsthand how much production catering quality affects crew morale, productivity, and the overall environment of a shoot. Too many productions treated catering as an afterthought — a contractual obligation rather than an investment in their crew.

We started Film Trucks with a different philosophy: that well-fed crews make better films. When people eat well, they think clearly, maintain their energy through 14-hour shooting days, and feel valued by the production. Great catering is a genuine performance investment, not just a cost of business.

Based in Texas — one of America's fastest-growing film production states — Film Trucks has served hundreds of productions across San Antonio, Austin, Houston, Dallas, the Texas Hill Country, the Gulf Coast, and remote locations across the state. Our fully self-contained mobile kitchen trucks can operate anywhere: urban backlots, desert locations, ranch properties, or wherever a camera points.

OUR VALUES

Quality Without Compromise
Restaurant-quality food from professional culinary staff, regardless of production budget size. Every crew deserves a great meal.
Reliability
Productions depend on us. We arrive before call time, every day, without exception. Our trucks don't break down on shoot days — because we maintain our fleet proactively.
Flexibility
No two productions are alike. We adapt to your schedule, your locations, your crew size changes, and your dietary requirements — not the other way around.
Sustainability
We source locally whenever possible, minimize food waste through careful planning, use compostable serviceware, and work to reduce our environmental footprint on every location.
Inclusion
We accommodate every dietary need — vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, halal, kosher, allergy-specific — without making crew members feel like second-class eaters.

THE TEXAS FILM INDUSTRY

Texas has emerged as one of America's premier film production destinations. The state offers a generous 22.5% production incentive rebate, dramatic location diversity (from Houston's urban skyline to Big Bend's alien landscapes to the Hill Country's rolling terrain), established production infrastructure, and a large pool of experienced crew talent.

San Antonio in particular has seen significant production activity, with its historic downtown, the Pearl District, the River Walk, and surrounding Hill Country ranch properties making it highly versatile for productions of all types. Austin's established music and tech culture attracts creative productions, while Houston serves as a hub for industrial and corporate media work.

Film Trucks was built to serve this growing industry — positioned in the heart of Texas with the flexibility to reach any corner of the state and the experience to handle any scale of production.
